Who we are
A small office and workshop in the heart of Leicester.

Our focus is quality over quantity. Bespoke pieces or small, limited-batch runs only — the goal is to keep it personal. Nearly everything that goes into making a light fitting is done by us, in house.
Have a look at our YouTube channel for more insight into what goes into making these lights so special.
About Richard

Born in Glasgow, Scotland. Now lives in Leicester, England, with his wife and children. He qualified as an electrician in his early twenties, which taught him to appreciate well thought-out lighting design and quality-made light fittings. His passion is to create a light fitting that enhances the mood of its surroundings and creates a talking point and intrigue for the people around it.
“One of my core principles is to produce light fittings that will function for decades. In our current throw-away culture, light fittings have become semi-disposable items. This is why all my pieces have light bulbs — no integrated LEDs, no internal electronics. When I make you a light fitting, I guarantee it will last.”
“If you just want to illuminate a space, then may I suggest Ikea or John Lewis. My lights are more form over function — subtle mood lighting to accompany you during your night cap, or to capture your imagination during your morning cappuccino.”

Still learning
I’m right at the beginning of this journey, but just to get to this stage I’ve enjoyed a large variety of self-development, including:
- Stained glass and leaded window courses
- A CNC design and manufacturing course
- Aluminium welding tuition
- Wood turning tuition
